It's Official: Moon Assistant Superintendent Sworn In
Cynthia R. Zurchin has been working in the district since Feb. 1.
, the newly hired assistant superintendent for the Moon Area School District, took the oath of office before Magisterial District Judge Mary P. Murray yesterday.
Zurchin began working in the district on Feb. 1. The Moon Area School Board appointed her to a three-year term at its Jan. 10. meeting. She previously served as an elementary principal at Pittsburgh Schaeffer Primary School.
Zurchin has been a teacher and administrator at middle schools and high schools in the Pittsburgh region for the past 23 years, according to the school district.
