Not only do the foul poles need moved on the softball field, so does the fence. The fence is supposed to be at 200', not the 230' distance that was installed. Who is responsible for providing the contractors the correct dimensions?!?!

Once again a screwup on the Mark Scappe building projects. I was wondering how long it would take for the school district to admit their contractors and consultants screwed up these fields, big time. By the way how do you mess up the installation of foul poles on two fields? Weren't the contractrs able to figure out you draw a straight line from home plate through third and first bases until it intersects the outfield fence and there you install the poles?

Moon School District.....pay attention! This mess and all the uneccesary change orders are the result of not hiring an experienced construction manager to work directly for the school board/district as the laison between them and the general contractor. Even a part-time const.mgr. could have identified and headed off problems that resulted in change orders/costs that were not in the budget before they became an obstacle to the completion of work. (in laymens terms not letting the contractor p on you and tell you its rain!) The dugouts and adjoining walls need to have the peeling paint removed and then need to be primered with a good quality block primer and then repainted while the weather/temps are correct for the application(not when temps dip below freezing at night). The righ center/right field are needs to be higher and drain towards the right field line catch basin. Right now the playing field on that side is much lower than the area it should drain to. Foul poles....old fashioned way-string it out. 2012 way-a good laser level behind home plate will put you right on the money. This consult is FREE OF CHARGE and so should the follow up work be from the Gen Contractor who should have been monitoring this work.

Todd, there is no set limit on how far a fence should be. The NFHS sets a recommended distance of between 185' and 235' for female fast pitch softball

Louisia You know how construction works it's not Mr. . Scappe,s fault. Its the contractor. He,s been off the board for a year now. Move on. What is the current board doing since they took over
