Moon to Observe 9/11 at Memorial Dedication

Township officials will gather for a dedication ceremony for the new memorial and rain garden.

Township officials and residents will gather at 10 a.m. Sunday to commemorate the 9/11 attacks and officially unveil Moon's new memorial rain garden.

The township will conduct a dedication ceremony for its new , crafted from a piece of World Trade Center steel. The memorial will serve as the centerpiece of the township's new community rain garden at 1000 Beaver Grade Road.

The will lay wreaths on the monument and will honor the occasion with a musical tribute.

Guest speakers at the ceremony will represent Moon's emergency response, military and airline communities.

The event is open to the public and free to attend. Parking will be available across the street from the .

In March, the township received a 900-pound piece of steel that was part of a support beam in the World Trade Center's north tower. Surrounding the monument will be the township's rain garden, which

I'm having trouble deciphering/accessing complete posts above. I have not been able to follow theRead More Boards meetings since relocating a year ago to TN. The fact that it took them til 3 am to ok WalMart's plans for the space, makes me think it was contentious, as it should have been. Many of us with experience of WalMart and the existing problems with traffic in the area remain appalled to hear WalMart's moving ahead.
