Marince Among Headlining Acts for Moon July 4 Festival
Moon Board of Supervisors receives updates on upcoming community events at its regular monthly meeting.
The last night discussed upcoming township events and heard an update from Allegheny County Council member Matt Drozd.
- Dana Kasler, director of Moon's Parks and Recreation Department, told the board that country recording artist Chuck Wicks and Moon native would perform at the township's annual July 4 festival.
- Col. Jeffrey Pennington, commander of the 911th Airlift Wing in Moon, also provided the board with a brief update on the annual Wings Over Pittsburgh event, set for Sept. 10-11.
- The board unanimously approved a The Moon Township Recreational Authority had asked to delay June and July lease payments to the township. The total amount of the two payments is $120,000. Supervisor Marv Eicher said without the restructured payments the club would have difficultly operating for the remainder of the season.
- Allegheny County Councilmen Matt Drozd briefly addressed the board at the meeting. "I just want you to know that I'm here for you 7/24," Drozd told the board.
