At a Glance: MCA-TV Public Awareness Weekend Set for March

The Moon public access channel will open its airwaves to Pittsburgh-area nonprofit organizations.

Moon Community Access Television will offer free airtime to Pittsburgh-area nonprofits on March 15th and 16th as a part of its annual Public Awareness Weekend. 

The public access channel will air a day's-worth of programming focused on Pittsburgh-area nonprofits, said Moon communications director Alexis Sergeant. 

Organizations can take part in 30-minute interview segments, where they will have the chance to discuss their cause and encourage Moon-area community members to get involved.

The broadcast airs from noon to 9 p.m. March 15th and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 16th. MCA-TV airs on Comcast channel 14 and Verizon channel 35. Interviews are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis, Sergeant said.
