Woman Charged with $700 Robinson Mall Theft

The woman fought loss prevention employees who tried to stop her, police allege.

Police said an Ohio woman fought loss prevention control workers at the Mall at Robinson after she was accused of theft.

Judi Lynn Hollp, 24, is charged with stealing $756-worth of items from Macy's at the mall on March 2.

Store employees said Hollp was seen carrying several items into the department store's dressing room. Minutes later, she attempted to take merchandise, including clothing and cosmetics, out of the store, according to a criminal complaint.

When loss prevention staff members at the mall attempted to stop Hollp she began "kicking her arms and swinging" as the staff members attempted to handcuff her, police said. 

Police said Hollp was carrying wire cutters during the time of her arrest.

Robinson Police charged Hollp with retail theft and possessing instruments of crime. She was taken to the Allegheny County Jail and held on $2,500 bail. 

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
