Residents Report Pet Parakeets Stolen
The birds were valued at $50, according to a police report.
A Moon family told police during the weekend that someone entered their home and stole their pet parakeets.
said the family returned to their home in the 500 block of Cheltenham Drive at about 6 p.m. July 15 to find their four pet parakeets missing.
The birds, which were housed on the family's back porch, were removed from their cage. No other items were reported missing. Family members told police the cage door was closed when they left home.
