Former Moon Resident Killed in Car Crash

Victim was ejected from a vehicle in the Franklin Park crash.

A former Moon resident was killed early Monday in a car crash in Franklin Park.

Bryan Viviani, 37, of Sewickley, was ejected from a vehicle in a crash at 2 a.m. on Wexford Run Road, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

Police in Franklin Park could not be reached for comment, but initial reports stated that the crash occurred after a brief police chase. Viviani was a race car driver and the owner of Viviani Motor Sports in Bellevue.

Viviani, who last year was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving by Ohio Township Police, was driving under a suspended license at the time of the crash.

Viviani was a 1991 graduate of Moon Area High School.
