Moon Man Charged with Stealing from Charity

A Fernvue Drive man is accused of stealing money from a Pittsburgh charity and using it for personal expenses.

A Moon Township man is accused of stealing more than $60,000 from the charity Pittburgh Planned Giving, according to the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office. 

Joshua DeNinno, 34, whose address is listed as Fernvue Drive in Moon, is charged with theft and misapplication of trust, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Authorities say he stole nearly $61,00 from the charity beginning in 2009, moving money from the charity's bank account to his own, reports the newspaper.

Officials with the charity first discovered the discrepancies in 2011.
