Man Charged in Robinson Stabbing Waives Hearing

Police found a man bleeding from his side and face after a September stabbing on Campbell's Run Road.

A Scott Township man charged in a late-night Robinson bar stabbing waived his right to a preliminary hearing. 

Robinson Police said 24-year-old Ryan Francis in September stabbed a man in the parking lot of Bishop's American Cafe on Campbell's Run Road. 

Francis appeared Tuesday before Magisterial Judge Carla Swearingen.

Police charged Francis with

Police said in a report that the victim, 29-year-old Adam Pastorak, of Collier, was found on the night of Sept. 1 laying on the bar room floor, bleeding from the side and from his eye socket after the stabbing.

Witnesses said the two engaged in a a fight in the bar's parking lot just after 2 a.m., when Francis pulled a knife and stabbed Pastorak in the face and side, according to police records. 

After the fight, Pastorak was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with life threatening injuries. He was later released, police said. 

Francis is scheduled to appear for a formal arraignment Dec. 18.
