Several incumbent members of the board will face candidates from the Citizens for Education ticket in November's general election. Voter turnout for the this week's primary, which also included races for the Moon's Board of Supervisors and Crescent's Board of Commissioners, was significantly low. 

s took the initial steps this week to amend its zoning ordinances in response to the opening of a controversial group home in Moon.

The amendment will require group care facilities in Crescent to maintain 24-hour supervision for their occupants. The board will hold a public hearing on the ordinance change in the coming months. 

Moon Township's Public Works department offered a glimpse of its daily operations Wednesday as part of National Public Works Week.

The department hosted a daylong open house of its Stephenson Mill Road facilities, which serve at the center of its operations. The department is responsible for road maintenance and sign-welding as well as maintaining township properties and vehicles. 

 

students are in the district's spring musical Cinderella this weekend, marking the to take place in the new high school auditorium. 

Performances will take place at 1 p.m. today and 7 p.m. Monday. Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for adults and will be available at the door.
