Moon Hires New Parks Director

The Moon Township Board of Supervisors hired Lance Welliver to the position of director of the Moon Township Parks and Recreation Department. 

Welliver formerly served as the department's assistant director. He has served as interim director since the departure of former director Dana Kasler, who resigned in November 2012. 

Amy Ottaviani has also been hired to the position of assistant director, replacing Welliver in the role.

Assistant township manager Jeff Ziegler recommended both hires to supervisors. 

Welliver was hired at a salary of $66,301.82; Ottaviani was hired at a salary of $60,728.88. Both hires were approved in a 5-to-0 vote Wednesday.
