Difficult Travel Conditions Forecast as Snow Moves across Region

National Weather Service encourages drivers to use caution as roads might be slick.

A narrow band of snow will move southeast across Western Pennsylvania this morning, affecting the morning commute, the in Moon said in a 6:30 a.m. Tuesday weather advisory.

The band could bring a brief burst of snow, reducing visibility and causing slick spots on untreated surfaces, the weather service statement said.

Accumulations are expected to be light, but drivers are encouraged to use caution and to prepare for icy roads and reduced visibility, according to the statement.

The statement covers Allegheny, Washington and Beaver counties, Brooke and Hancock counties in West Virginia, and Columbiana County in Ohio.
