Moon Police File DUI, Drug Charges

A Moon couple is facing simple assault charges after police responded to their home for a fight.

Police charged Pamela Snyder, 21, and Aaron Patterson, 22, both of Cedar Drive, Moon, with simple assault after the dispute  at their home. 

Officers responded to a call Saturday, June 8 and spoke to Snyder, who said she and Patterson argued after he came home high on heroin.

Police said Patterson shook her, threw her on the couch and put her in a head lock. Snyder admitted to hitting him in the face in order to get him to let her go and police said Patterson had redness and swelling under his eye and on his forehead. 

Patterson was taken to Allegheny County Jail after police found heroin paraphernalia in his car. He is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Moon police also responded to the following recent incidents. Each reflects police records and is not an indication of guilt.

Public drunkenness charged

Shawn Ciamelle, 36, of Bocktown Road, Crescent Township, charged with public drunkenness. Police received a complaint at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, June 9 about a possible drunken driver in the area of University Boulevard near Eat’n Park. Police found Ciamelle passed out in his vehicle in the restaurant parking lot. Police said the car was not running and the keys were out of the ignition. Ciamelle was taken to the Moon police station and lodged until he sobered up.


Marijuana possession

Ashley N. Toney, 23, of Forest Green Drive, Moon, charged with possession of marijuana after her vehicle was stopped May 25 during a West Hills DUI Task Force sobriety checkpoint on University Boulevard. Police said officers saw two vials of marijuana after Toney opened her purse to retrieve her driver’s license.


Suspicious persons

Kendra Hinkley, 32, of Kable Way Avenue, Coraopolis, charged with public drunkenness and being a suspicious person. Police received a complaint at 5:05 a.m. Thursday, June 6 about a suspicious woman knocking and ringing a door bell in the 800 block of Canterbury Drive.  Police took Hinkley to the station.

DUI charges

Stephen P. Scheboth, 28, of Klein Street, Crescent, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle was stopped May 25 during a West Hills DUI Task Force sobriety checkpoint on University Boulevard at Moon Clinton Road. Police reported a blood-alcohol content of 0.101 percent, above the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.

 

DUI, underage drinking charges

Dylan Marshall, 19, of Ford City, PA, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and underage drinking after his vehicle was stopped May 25 during a West Hills DUI Task Force sobriety checkpoint on University Boulevard at Moon Clinton Road. Police said Marshall submitted to a blood-alcohol test.

 

DUI, accident reported

Melanie Schneiderman, 22, of Nyetimber Parkway, Moon, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident. Police said patrons at the Seashell bar on Beaver Grade Road saw Schneiderman’s vehicle back into a parked SUV then leave without stopping shortly before 2 a.m. on May 29. Police said Schneiderman paid with a credit card and officers were able to obtain information from the bartender. Police said officers located Schneiderman at home and she was unaware that she had struck another vehicle. Police said Schneiderman submitted to a blood-alcohol test.

Vehicle violation

Fabian Caceres, 43, of Lynfield Avenue, charged with altering his inspection sticker. Police stopped Caceres’ vehicle May 25 in the West Hills DUI Task Force sobriety checkpoint and found the minivan had fake inspection stickers. His daughter was driving, but police said Caceres agreed to the charges.
