Back to School: Montour Freshmen, New Student Orientations Scheduled

The first day of school in the Montour Area School District is Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Montour High School will hold two orientation sessions this week for freshmen and new students on Wednesday, Aug 14.

A morning and evening orientation session will be held to accommodate parents' schedules.

The morning session will begin at 9 a.m. and the evening session will begin at 6:30 p.m. It is only necessary to attend only one orientation session.

Guided tours of the high school campus will immediately follow each of the orientation sessions.

  • 2013-14 School Year Goals and Areas of Focus
  • Review of MHS Student Handbook/Code of Conduct
  • Overview of MHS Counseling Department and Student Services
  • Overview of MHS Extra/Co-Curricular Opportunities
  • Overview of Start of School Year Calendar and Logistics
  • Review of Tips for Success During Freshmen Year 
  • Guided Tour of MHS Campus
