You could say that Timothy Mobley's passion for community journalism began in boyhood when his neighborhood newsletter was featured in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram of Texas. While a transplant to Pittsburgh, his interest in promoting local community news has never waned.
Mobley's career has taken him in different directions (music directing, education and Air Force communications), and within each organization he has made communications a personal mission. He has designed websites, initiated the use of social media and founded several organizational newsletters. In addition to articles on Patch.com, Mobley is the co-founder of Muse-Art.org, which uses multimedia art to tell the stories of underserved community groups. His blog articles can also be found at RenaissanceMob.com.
He is happy to be joining the Patch team of local reporters, where he hopes to continue his work promoting an informed and connected community.
