Ashley Connor, Neighbor

Ashley Connor is an alumna of Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a bachelors degree in Mass Media Arts & Communication Studies, Broadcast Concentration.

Ashley is looking to make her start in her career in journalism, and she believes Patch.com is a perfect start.

While in college Ashley was a feature writer for The Clarion Call, a student run newspaper. She was also a reporter for WCUB-TV, the student-run television station.

Ever since Ashley was 9 years old she has wanted to pursue a career in journalism and has surrounded herself with opportunities to head in the right direction.

In 2005 she participated in the Frank Bolden Urban Journalism workshop and was able to work with professionals in the media in the Pittsburgh market.

In 2008 Ashley interned in Atlanta, GA at WXIA-TV where she was given the opportunity to go out with photographers and reporters, write with producers and work on the assignment desk.

Currently Ashley works at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, PA as a production assistant where she operates robotic cameras, does voice and text captions and lighting in the studio.
