Moon Baseball Sign-Ups Rescheduled for Feb. 2

Kids can sign up this weekend for springtime Little League in Moon Township.

After a delay due to inclement weather, Moon Township Little League sign-ups will take place this weekend.  Registration for Moon Baseball's 51st season is slated for 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 2 in the Moon Area Middle School lobby. Online registration is now available on the league's website.  Eligiblity is open to all Moon Area School District residents; proof of residency may be required and children signing up for the first time will need to provide government-issued proof of age.   Registration fees are as follows:  Click the media in this article to view the full flier for the event, including age requirements.

Moon Baseball Schedules Spring Registrations

The season will mark the league's 50th year in Moon Township.

Moon Township Little League Baseball is gearing up for its 50th year and is accepting online spring registrations for the first time and will conduct in-person sign-ups beginning Sunday. "The spring season is really the meat of our existence," said league president Scott Zimmerman. "We've always done in-person registration, and we've always done it at the [Moon Area] middle school, but this is the first spring that we've offered online registration."  As the springtime tradition begins its fifth decade in Moon Township, Zimmerman said the league is now using social media to connect to players, parents and fans.
