McGurk Rehired as Moon Planning Director
The former director, who had worked for the township beginning in 2007, had relocated to New York City last April.
The Moon Board of Supervisors approved the rehiring of Adam McGurk as the township's new planning director. Supervisors John Hertzer and Jim Vitale said that McGurk's hiring was approved Wednesday night following an executive session at the board's workshop meeting. McGurk, who had been employed by the township since 2007, resigned from his position in April 2011 to relocate to New York City for his wife's position with Pittsburgh-based American Eagle Outfitters. Township manager Jeanne Creese said former planning director Marissa Gerkey, who was hired by the township in October at an annual salary of $63,000, was terminated from the position on March 9.
