New Dollar Bank Coming to Steubenville Pike

Development is underway at vacant storefronts featured in Robinson-Moon Patch's "Visions for Vacancy."

The empty Krispy Kreme location on Steubenville Pike will re-open as a Dollar Bank branch.  Dollar Bank vice president Sandra Wise said the branch is slated to open on Nov. 19. Renovations are now underway at the site.  Built in 2004, the 3,532 square-foot retail space closed as a donut shop several years ago, alongside neighboring Krispy Kreme chain locations in Collier and Monroeville.  Dollar Bank maintains local offices on Beaver Grade Road in Moon, Walsh Road in Crafton and Beaver Street in Sewickley.  In Moon Township, supervisors earlier this month approved a final land development plan for an AutoZone retail store on the site of the former Triva Pub and Beer Store on University Boulevard. This goes to tell you how long it was closed for. I went to school in the area from 2008-10 and it was closed before then. Now that its finally being used again. Why did they close? DD isnt even close but there are many starbucks in the area.   more ›
