Porsche Reported Stolen from Elkwood Drive Home

Thousands of dollars worth of items were reported stolen from a home on the 400 block of Elkwood Drive.

A Moon resident said he returned from a trip to Arizona to find his Elkwood Drive home ransacked and his 2006 Porsche Cayenne missing.  Moon Police said when the resident returned home in the early morning hours of June 9 after a two-week stay in Arizona, he found his home's front-door deadbolt lock broken and his house in disarray.  A flat-screen TV was removed from a mount on the wall, living room furniture had been slashed and overturned, and household fixtures had been broken, according to a police report.  The man's kitchen cabinets and drawers were emptied and his refrigerator door was left ajar, leaving food inside to rot. A safe containing both $4,500 in cash and a Glock handgun were removed from a bedroom closet and a lock leading…

Burglary Reported on Boggs Avenue

A Coraopolis man has been charged with identity theft in connection to a home burglary reported earlier this month on Boggs Avenue.  Randy Rudski, 48, of Coraopolis, was charged May 3 by Moon Police with theft by unlawful taking, forgery, access device fraud and identity theft.  Police said Rudski cashed a check that was reported stolen from a home on Boggs Avenue, forging the signature of the homeowner to obtain the money. Rudski, who according to court records has a lenghty history of arrests in Allegheny County, was charged by Moon Police in 2011 with multiple counts of writing bad checks. He awaits trial on the charges.  Kennedy Township Police also charged him last year with receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.  …
