State Awards $300K Toward Planned Montour Junction Complex
The long-planned athletic complex will border Moon, Robinson and Coraopolis.
The Pennsylvania Department of Natural Resources has awarded a $300,000 grant toward a long-planned multi-use athletic complex that will border Moon, Coraopolis and Robinson. The state grant, awarded this month through the Allegheny County Redevelopment Authority, will benefit the proposed 78-acre Montour Junction sports and athletic complex and multi-purpose fields. The money will fund landscaping, handicap accessibility and other site improvements at the facility and surrounding grounds, according to information from Pennsylvania DCNR. The sports center is designed to straddle the three communities, bordered by Route 51 and the Coraopolis Bridge.
