A Penn Hills man will face trail on charges he brought heroin and a gun into the Crowne Plaza hotel in Moon Township. Moon Township Police said 20-year-old William Bosley was in possession of a 9 mm Smith and Wesson handgun and more than 40 stamp bags containing heroin on New Year's Day at the Thorn Run Road hotel. Bosley appeared Tuesday in Coraopolis District Court. Hotel staff called police on Jan. 1 after Bosley's girlfriend, 19-year-old Phalonda Pollard, ran into the hotel lobby, claiming Bosley held a gun to her head after a fight in their room. A New Year's Day domestic fight at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Moon Township lead to a couple's arrest on drug charges, police said. Staff members at the Thorn Run Road hotel called police when a woman, later identified as 19-year-old Phalonda Pollard, of Pittsburgh, came to the front desk and said her boyfriend held a gun to her head during a fight in their hotel room. After police arrived, Pollard warned officers that her boyfriend, 30-year-old William Richard Jackson Bosley, of Penn Hills, was armed and could be coming to the lobby. When Bosley came to the lobby, police found no weapons on him. Pollard then recanted her story, claiming she "made up the story about the gun," according to a complaint filed by Officer James Kazmierczak. …

Moon Police charged two Ohio women with prostitution this month following an undercover sting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Police said Ashley D. Pauley, 27, and Jessica Rawlins, 26, both of Columbus, advertised themselves online as prostitutes working in the Pittsburgh airport area. Police Detective Charles Carr, who arranged to meet the women April 12 at the Thorn Run Road hotel, said in a police report that the women agreed to have sex in exchange for money. Pauley has been charged with prostitution, promoting prostitution, criminal conspiracy and possessions of instruments of crime.
