A Monessen woman forked over $300 for a pair of Justin Bieber concert tickets that turned out to be fakes, according to Robinson police. Police said the woman, who found the tickets through a seller on Craigslist, agreed to meet with a Crafton man named "Morgan Thetter" on Nov. 19 outside of the Mall at Robinson to exchange the tickets, according to a complaint. When the woman and her daughter attended the tween star's concert on Nov. 20 at Consol Energy Center, they were turned away at the door. Police said the tickets were counterfeits and could find no record of a man named Morgan Thetter. Tickets for Bieber's Consol Energy Center concert were sold out, the Post-Gazette reported. Police say victims lost thousands of dollars after trying to apply for jobs through the popular website.
Moon Police said a number of township residents lost thousands of dollars while trying to apply for a job on Craigslist. Police are investigating the Craigslist fraud, in which residents said they sent personal information to a third party via the classified-advertisements website in the hope of landing a job as an administrative assistant. Police said residents sent personal and financial information through an online application process for the position. The perpetrator responded by sending counterfeit U.S. Postal Money Orders and checks to the victims through the mail. The victims were advised to cash the checks and money orders and keep a portion of the money as a form of payment. They were then instructed to send back the remainder …

We scoured eBay and Craigslist to find out what Moon residents are trying to sell. Here are some of our more interesting finds.
People collect weird stuff. And when they accrue too much, or they need a little cash, they sell it. Sometimes it’s normal stuff, like camera lenses or a 2001 Dodge Stratus.
