Street Sweeping Under Way in Moon
The streets will be cleaned from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.
The township's Public Works department has started its 2012 street-sweeping program early this year. Public works director Jim Henkemeyer said the warm weather has enabled the department to get a head start on numerous projects for the year. Work also is under way on sidewalk improvements on Ceder Drive near the Mooncrest Community Center. "We've gotten started with street sweeping and things like that," Henkemeyer said. "We've also gotten started on work around [township] complexes and buildings." Public works road crews plowed snow just once this winter—a drop from five days the previous year, said public works administrator John Scott.
