What about the "beautiful soul" that this pit killed over the winter, and theRead More "beautiful soul" it tried to kill this fall? What about the "beautiful souls" that Blue would have come into contact with over the course of its life, if it had been kept alive and sent to yet another person who thought he could "save" it? Do their lives have no value? Why is it all about Blue? It had a fairly peaceful death, unlike the JRT it mauled. That little dog was tortured to death.

Blue was not a bad dog. It was a human that damaged him, and human error that allowed him to comeRead More in to contact with the dogs that he hurt. However, he was not safe to be adopted out because he'd proved he was dangerous to other dogs. It's sad that an innocent animal had to suffer because of humans. The people at the shelter are grieving too. They loved Blue and were heartbroken that they had to make such a tough decision. The trainer that offered to take Blue does not use positive reinforcement methods, and AF didn't want Blue to be harmed there. Remember, death is not a punishment, it's simply the next phase of life. Blue was given a year of love at the shelter, and people will remember him always.
