Family: Married with four children, each of whom attended the Moon Area School District.

Occupation: Director of Public Works in South Fayette Township; formerly served as Crescent Township's Public Works director. 

Related Experience: Served for two previous terms on the Moon Area School Board; served as a firefighter for 40 years and a member of the military for 25. Obtained a bachelor's of science degree in public administration. 

Primary reason for running: To bring honesty, transparency and integrity back to the Moon Area School Board. 

Single most important issue if elected: To control the costs of change orders related to school district construction projects. We've got to scrutinize those change orders. 

What sets you apart from the other candidates: Has resided in Moon Township for 57 years and is a graduate of the Moon Area School District. Has previous school board and public service experience. 

What's your favorite thing about the school district? The residents, students and staff in the Moon Area School District.

What is the biggest problem facing the school district? Financial debt of the district and flatlining student performance.
