The owner came to the house to fix my GE Monogram ice maker that wasn't making ice. He was here for 10 min and said a gear was broken and needed repaired. He took a $100 deposit and told me it would take 4-5 days to get the part. Later that day, I had the AC guy at the house and told him about my ice maker. He took a quick look at it and said he thought the gear was fine but thought the water line in the freezer was frozen. I called Action Appliance back and the owner was upset I had someone else look at it and in fact returned my check the next day. (Suspicious!!??) Two days later, we found water dripping in our basement. I called GE directly and they sent someone out right away. Diagnosis- water line to the freezer split and thus was dripping down through the basement because the water line in the freezer was frozen. Gears worked fine!!!!!
