Get Out: Touch a Truck, Recycling Event and Sidewinder

Touch a Truck

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Quaker Steak & Lube, 110 Andrew Drive.

Why Go: All proceeds benefit Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh's Free Care Fund. Bring the kids and enjoy bounce houses, face painting, fire trucks, police cars, military vehicles and more. 

Admission: $3 per child. All ages welcome.

Apple Festival and Pancake Breakfast

When/Where: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Carnegie Presbyterian Church, 219 Ewing Road, Carnegie.

Why Go: Enjoy fresh pancakes while listening to entertainment. Browse the silent auction, take a chance at the 50/50 raffle, let your children in the Bounce House, and purchase some goodies at the bake sale. 

Admission: Free.

Computer and Electronics Recycling Event

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Sharon Community Presbyterian Church in Moon.

Why Go: Fall cleaning? Numerous items, including desktop, laptops, tablets, servers, hard drives, and cell phones, will be accepted. Click here for the complete list

Admission: Free.

Creation Science Seminar

When/Where: 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Robert Morris University- Massey Theater, 6001 University Blvd, Moon.

Why Go: International creation speaker Eric Hovind will present material that refutes skeptics and empowers believers.

Admission: Free. 

Acoustic Performance with Sidewinder

When/Where: 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 at Patrick's Pub, 1207 Spring Run Road Extension, Moon.

Why Go: Sidewinder is in the pub performing acoustic music from the past 20 years. 

Admission: Free.
