Your library card just got even more powerful. As of December 3, Moon Township Public Library is now offering a new digital newsstand of magazines called Zinio. “Zinio for Libraries” allows public library patrons to read, interact with and explore a selection of over 300 magazines by just using their library card.
People love coming to our library to read a large selection of magazines, but printed copies can easily get damaged, lost or destroyed. Books, music and audiobooks are transitioning to digital formats and now with Zinio for Libraries, the library can offer hundreds of digital magazines from most every major global publisher. This service offers the most current issue and the best part is that it is all free!
Zinio provides a quick and easy way for library patrons to read digital copies of their favorite magazines. Using their Mac or PC or any internet enabled device, reading fans will be able to access the library’s catalog of selected digital magazines. Zinio’s unique digital platform recreates a magazine page-for-page, including highly visual full-color pictures, while taking the reading experience even further through intuitive navigation, key word article search and interactive rich media elements such as audio and video. Consumer Reports, Car & Driver, Good Housekeeping, The Economist, ESPN Magazine and Esquire are just a few of the popular titles that will be available through the Zinio for Libraries program.
