Heather Blake--A Librarian with the Write Stuff!

Library clerk publishes first book!

Moon Township Public Library’s own Heather Blake is now a published author! She has written her first young adult fiction novel titled “Seagirl” Seagirl tells the story of Serena a girl plagued with guilt at the drowning death of her mother. Now she must face her grief and decide to live, love or leave. Heather is a library clerk by day and a self-published author in her free time.

Like many new authors, Heather has struggled with finding a publisher to accept her work for publication and decided to try her luck at self-publishing. She will be sharing her publishing adventures and advice along with another published author Grace Bolland at the library on Tuesday, September 11 at 6:00 PM during a Self-Publishing Q & A.  These two authors will discuss their experiences with self-publishing on Lulu.com and Amazon CreateSpace.  They’ll discuss their recently published YA novels, the ins and outs of self-publishing, advertising strategies, and answer all your questions.

Heather starting writing at a very young age and enjoys writing poetry as well as fiction. She also loves libraries and everything to do with them. If you are the library any time soon, stop by and say “hi.”
