10 Ways to Love Your Library

10 Ways to Love Your Library this Valentine's Day!

  1. Read a book! As librarians and all around book lovers, we love to see people reading. It makes our day.
  2. Come to a program. We try really hard to have something that appeals to everyone and the best part is that they are free.
  3. Watch a movie. We have hundreds of DVDs and Blu-Rays for you to choose from, the last blockbuster to a classic black and white.
  4. Listen to a Playaway. They are the newest thing we have at the library. Playaways are preloaded MP3 players, you just have to pop in a battery and headphones and press play.
  5. Read a magazine. Have you seen our new digital magazine collection called Zinio. You can read hundreds of magazines on your favorite electronic device from anywhere at anytime and you always have the most current issue.
  6. Donate. Be it time, money or materials the library can use it. We always need volunteers to help us with shelving, processing our new stuff or repairing the not so new stuff. Money is something we always seem to need and your donations could be our next best read.
  7. Use a computer or enjoy our wireless connection on your laptop.
  8. Ask for a reading recommendation. That’s what we are here for and would love to help you find your next book.
  9. Download some music on us. Use our Freegal to download three free songs a week to keep. Your library card is the key.
  10. And finally, visit! We would love for you to stop in and see the library. We always have new services to show you and you materials for you to take out. The library is for you and we want to see you here!

We hope that you love your library and this Valentine’s Day you will give us the gift of your visit!
