Unexpected Design Elements

Many of my savvy clients have amassed wonderful collection of furniture, accessories and art and then find themselves in a quandary as to how to use all of it, smartly. 

This is where I typically enter the picture to assist in the assessment of what to keep, sell or remove from their homes.

Many clients are also downsizing their homes and find it difficult establishing a style in a modern condo with traditional furnishings.

This is a common dilemma for many people. They love the items they have collected and find that parting ways is often painful. 

The above room shows how to be clever and stylish, blending old Turkish area rugs, trunks with a new contemporary console and arc lamp.

This is good style at it’s finest and it rings of comfort, too.

The above airy loft is a converted barn (old), the floors are reclaimed wood, as are the bench and the table. The coffee tables are a combination of old casters and new tempered glass, and the chairs are vintage. 

All of the accessories have been around for quite some time, but have found new appointments.

Always keep in mind that existing furnishings can always be used in new, creative ways.
