Five Things You Need to Know This Week

Patch gives you a look ahead at what's going on around Moon Township for the week of May 28.

1. Annual Coraopolis Memorial Day Parade

Everyone is welcome for the Coraopolis Memorial Day Parade sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign War Post 402 on Monday. The parade will feature the bands from both Cornell and . The parade begins at 1 p.m. at Fifth Avenue.

2. Planning Commission Meets

Find out what's happening in Robinson-Moonwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

The Moon Township Planning Commission will host their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Moon Township Municipal Building

3. Supervisors Workshop Meeting

The Moon Township Supervisors Workshop meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Moon Township Municipal Building

4. Family Fun Night

The Moon Parks and Recreation’s Family Fun Series kicks off their summer schedule on June 1st with a performance by The Ben Shannon Band. The Band will perform a family concert of “Rootsy Folk Rock”  music at Moon Park. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. and all ages are welcome.

5. EAC Recycling Day

The public is invited to bring items such as tires, electronics, appliances and usable construction items to Recycling Day sponsored by the Environmental Advisory Committee. The event will be held at the Moon Township Municipal Building from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
