Ski Slopes and Tubing Area Open for the Season in Allegheny County Park

Have you tried the Boyce Park slopes?

Looking for a place to ski, tube and snowboard without having to make a long trek from the Sewickley area?

The Boyce Park ski slopes and tubing area in Plum Borough is open for the season. 

Boyce is the only location for downhill skiing in Allegheny County, with ski lifts, a large ski lodge called Four Seasons, and all the amenities,according to the park's website.

Weather and conditions permitting, slopes will be open on weekdays  from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. On weekends, slopes will be open for two sessions, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 4 to 9:30 p.m.

The Boyce Park Ski Area offers rental equipment for skiers and snowboarders, in addition to private and group lessons. Detailed information on rates and hours of operation is available online by clicking here or by calling 724-733-4656. For 24-hour snow conditions, call 724-733-4665.

I'm having trouble deciphering/accessing complete posts above. I have not been able to follow theRead More Boards meetings since relocating a year ago to TN. The fact that it took them til 3 am to ok WalMart's plans for the space, makes me think it was contentious, as it should have been. Many of us with experience of WalMart and the existing problems with traffic in the area remain appalled to hear WalMart's moving ahead.
