Moon Gymnasts Take Home Titles in Pennsylvania Classic

Gymnasts from across the state competed in Moon this weekend for state individual titles.

The Hopewell gymnast who dominated last week’s WPIAL championships continued her winning streak this weekend, taking home the state championship title at the competition at the

Kelly Burak, a sophomore at Hopewell High School, won with an all-around score of 38.85 in the Diamond division of the meet. Runner-up Jody Gazda, of Cornell High School, scored 36.81 points.

Moon’s Holly Zucchero took the first place all-around title in the Gold division with a score of 36.15. Penn-Trafford’s Nicole Piazza took the Silver division all-around title, scoring 34.23.
