Montour Takes on West Allegheny in WPIAL Quarterfinal

The game takes place Friday at Chartiers Valley.

Montour will take on its Parkway Conference co-champ West Allegheny Friday in the quarterfinal round of the WPIAL playoffs. 

The rivals play at 7 p.m. Friday at Chartiers Valley.

West Allegheny comes to the game following a 48-7 victory over Ringgold, while Montour is coming off a 27-6 win over Trinity.

Tickets for Friday's match-up are $4 for students and $6 for adults. No student tickets will be sold at the gate, according to a statement from the district. 

Fans can purchase tickets from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Montour High School athletic office and today during normal hours at David E. Williams Middle School. Only cash will be accepted and the district asks that exact change be provided. No checks or credit cards will be accepted.

The game will be featured as the Xfinity High School Sports Game of the Week. Comcast Digital Starter subscribers can view the game beginning Nov. 12, by selecting the Get Local, Sports and Football folders on their On-Demand menu. 

Comcast subscribers can also watch the game online and on mobile devices, via the Xfinity TV app. 

West Allegheny on Oct. 19 delivered a 5-3 victory over Montour.
