North Park run/walk to benefit research set for April 16

West Penn Allegheny Health System’s eighth annual Big Blue Quest, a fun walk and run that benefits colon and rectal cancer awareness and research, is scheduled for Saturday, April 16 at North Park.

All proceeds from the 5K Run/2K Fun Walk will benefit the WPAHS Center for Colon and Rectal Surgery. The Big Blue Quest raises awareness that colon and rectal cancers are “preventable, treatable and beatable.”

Co-chairs Donald Moorman, MD, System Chair, Department of Surgery, and Paul Lebovitz, MD, System Chair, Division of Gastroenterology and Director, Allegheny Center for Digestive Health, invite participants to walk alongside colorectal cancer survivors, their friends and families, and learn about the prevention of this disease.
