Whiz Kids: Film Fest Winners and Seniors Earn Scholarships

A look at the accomplishments of local students

Student-produced documentary recognized at local film fest

A group of students won first place earlier this month at the Antelope Film Festival at Avonworth High School.

Students Jake Paule, Chad Limbruner and Steven Brown’s A Day in the Life: The Apple User, placed first in the documentary category.

Moon students come out on top at Fluid Power Challenge

Eighth grade students Abby Keppel, Betsy Naugle, Emily Padgett, and Alayna Trice placed first at the 2012 Fluid Power Challenge sponsored by Wojanis Power Supply. 

Students were asked to design and construct a device controlled by pneumatic or hydraulic power that would move a wooden block from one point to the next as a part of the competition, which featured teams from 20 area schools.
