Town Hall Meeting Planned for Moon Area School District

Parents are invited to attend the question-and-answer session on April 30 at the high school.

Moon Area School District officials will tackle frequently asked questions during a town hall meeting at the district's high school. 

The event will be held from 6 to 8:45 p.m. April 30. The town hall meeting will be split into 45-minute sessions, where administrators and other professionals will answer questions that they commonly field from parents and members of the community.

  • Current trends in teen drug and alcohol abuse
  • The district's common core curriculum
  • Internet safety
  • Strategies for helping children succeed in school
  • Positive reinforcement and the district's Whale Done program.
  • The district's upcoming budget

Administrators speaking at the meeting include assistant supertintendent Cynthia Zurchin, director of financial services Alan Bennett, Allard principal Caroline Johns and district assistant curriculum director Kim Prevost.
