RMU Hires New Women's Ice Hockey Coach

Former Mercyhurst coach to lead the team.

A former Mercyhurst College coach is now at the helm of women's ice hockey team.

Paul Colontino was named the team's new head coach earlier this week. The former associate head coach for the women's hockey team at Mercyhurst, which is in Erie, helped guide the Lakers to five consecutive NCAA Tournaments.

"Coach Colontino comes to us from one of the most successful programs in the nation," said RMU Athletics Director Craig Coleman in a statement. "[Colontino] is the right coach to help our program move to the next level and beyond."
