RMU Celebrates Homecoming with Alumni, Student Events

Festivities include a free concert by Scott Blasey of The Clarks and a picnic for parents and students.

On the heals of its 90th anniversary,  this weekend will ring in its annual Homecoming with alumni and student festivities. 

The Colonials will take on St. Francis at 7 p.m. Saturday at Joe Walton Stadium.

Tailgating before the game begins at 3 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. The Clarks’ frontman, Scott Blasey, will perform a free concert for tailgating crowds at 5 p.m. on campus.

Reunion events for alumni of the Moon-based institution are scheduled throughout the weekend. The university will host a Homecoming happy hour at 7 p.m. Friday at the  Students can take part in a Homecoming dance that night at the Sewall Center. Various groups, including graduating classes and campus and Greek organizations, are scheduled to meet Saturday. 

RMU’s women’s hockey and men’s lacrosse teams have contests scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

Parents and students can attend a picnic at 5 p.m. Saturday in Joe Walton Plaza on campus.
