OLSH Hires New Teachers for Upcoming School Year

The Moon Township parochial school will kick off this school year with new teachers at its ranks.

More than a dozen newly hired or promoted teachers will take to the classroom at the for the upcoming school year, including new assistant principal Mary Catherine Praskovich. 

The new school year gets underway Aug. 27.

New hires and staffing changes at the school include:

  • Katlyn Gilroy has been hired as the school's library media specialist. 
  • Kristopher Karagory will join the physical education department as a teacher. 
  • Erin Kregar will serve as a Spanish teacher, replacing former teacher Nicole Hoegerl. 
  • Stephanie Nese will join OLSH's staff as a guidance counselor. 
  • Mallory Praskovich, a 2007 alum of OLSH, has been hired as an art teacher. She replaces former art teacher Chris Stubna. 
  • Nichole Tanner will serve as a social studies teacher. 
  • Mike McDonald will serve as the new director of athletics, health and wellness and will continue to host girls' and boys' volleyball. 
  • Phil McCarren has been tapped as the new assistant athletic director, and will continue his roles chairing the religion department.
