Moon Students Earn Spots in PMEA Honors Band

The students will perform next month at Carnegie Music Hall.

Three students have been selected as members of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association honors band. 

Band directors from surrounding school districts evaluated and scored students on individual performances earlier this month. The selected students will take part in a regional concert Nov. 27 at Carnegie Music Hall. 

Sophomore bassoon player Adam Sniezek earned fourth chair. Senior trumpet player Christopher Nan earned eigth chair, and sophomore trombone player Erick Homol earned twelfth chair.

The students prepared college-level solos on their respective instruments. Eight Moon Area students auditioned for spots in the ensemble.
