The Moon Area School Board also approved work on the district's baseball field.

The last night approved $4,000 in preventative maintenance costs for the fire alarm system in its recently completed high school.

The cost of the maintenance, which is a part of regular upgrades to the building's system, will come from the district's general fund.

The board, which met briefly and conducted executive sessions before and after the meeting, also approved a new television production handbook for students.

The district announced yesterday that it will implement new traffic patterns for its University Boulevard campus parking lots.

The old high school entrance is now closed. Student can cross Beaver Grade Road at the Tiger Trail light; a crossing guard no longer will supervise the intersection.

The district will return to a clockwise traffic pattern around the current middle school; all traffic from University Boulevard must turn left and travel past the front of the middle school.
