Moon Area School District Holds High School Open House

Residents take advantage of first opportunity to tour newly completed high school.

The newly completed opened its to community members this weekend.

The district held a and dedication ceremony for the $76-million facility, which opened for students earlier this month. The 186,011-square-foot building features six computer labs, new music and art facilities and a college-sized gymnasium. 

Residents got a chance to tour the building, hear the Moon Area High School band perform and dine in the 450-seat cafeteria, which features a food court.

“I like that there are clocks at every turn, so my daughter should be able to look up and say, ‘Oh, I better get a move on, I only have a minute to get to class!' ”
