Moon Area Hires Assistant Middle School Principal

Former middle school band director Jeffrey Jaworowski has been hired for the position.

The Moon Area School District has hired band director Jeffrey Jaworowski as assistant principal for its middle school

Jaworowski has served as band director at the middle school since 1993, said district spokeswoman Megan Edwards in a statement.

He is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in music education and has completed coursework at San Francisco State University and Duquesne University.

He will serve under middle school principal Melissa Heasley.

From district Superintendent Donna Milanovich:

"The district is pleased to welcome Mr. Jaworowski to the administrative team. His impressive skill set and knowledge will contribute to the continued success of our district."

Jaworowski's leadership background also includes 21 years of service in the Army and Army National Guard, where he retired with nine years as a company commander/bandmaster in the 28th Infantry Division Band.

He was also previously employed as a high school band and choral director in Berryville, VA, Edwards said.

I'm having trouble deciphering/accessing complete posts above. I have not been able to follow theRead More Boards meetings since relocating a year ago to TN. The fact that it took them til 3 am to ok WalMart's plans for the space, makes me think it was contentious, as it should have been. Many of us with experience of WalMart and the existing problems with traffic in the area remain appalled to hear WalMart's moving ahead.
