The Moon Area School District has scheduled its kindergarten round-up for incoming 2012-2013 students from March 26-30 at Sharon Community Presbyterian Church.
Parents at the event can meet kindergarten teachers and staff while registering their children for the upcoming year. Students who have attended private kindergarten or kindergarten at another district may attend the round-up to register for first grade at Moon.
The district will evaluate children's hearing, speach and vision with a basic assesment. Certified district personnel will administer the screenings. To ensure accurate assessment, parents are not allowed to join children in the screening areas.

Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 30 to register for the upcoming school year. Children must be 6 years old by Sept. 30 to enter the first grade.
Appointments are mandatory for the event. Registration is done on assigned days, based on children's elementary school location. Call the district's registrar at 412-264-9440 to sign up.
