Township to Collect Old Electronics

The township will be collecting used electronic devices from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Items to be collected for proper disposal include computers, televisions and phones.  

According to the state's new Covered Device Recycling Act, which takes effect in January, electronic devices and their compontents may no longer be disposed of with municipal solid waste or taken to landfills. Instead, they must be properly recycled through designated electronic recycling facilities. Click on the media in this article to view a PDF of the new law.

No construction materials or tires will be accepted at the event, which is open to residents in surrounding communities.
