PA House Passes $29.1B Budget

The budget passed by the House by a 110-93 vote.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a $29.1 billion budget for 2014-2015. The bill is headed to the senate.

Monday, June 30, is the deadline for the state to pass a budget.

The budget passed by the House by a  110-93 vote. The spending plan is balanced but it takes into account $380 million from the privatization of liquor sales,  a move that may not be supported by the state Senate, Politics PA reported.

The school districts have been "gauging" how much money the state will be supplying them before we residents get slammed with property tax increases year over year for the next few years. There are only so many teachers that can be cut and other tax payer funded processes than can be discontinued. The flood gates in tax increases is about to open, folks. Start filling those sand bags! A tidal wave is upon us the next 3-5 years! Smoke 'em if you got 'em!
